Suggest Dosage Of Xanax For Panic Attack

Question: I have just taken 20mg of lexapro, and .5mg of klonpin, and dayquill cold and flu. I am having a terrible panic attack and want to take .5mg of xanax and wonder if I can.

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

For panic attack xanax 0.5 mg will be useful. However it is benzodiazepine and should be used under doctor's supervision to prevent dependence and abuse. Klonopin and dayquill both can cause sedation. Adding xanax to these may cause more sedation. So you can take xanax for a while if your doctor has prescribed but then do not drive or work with machine for safety purpose. You can drive after 10 hours.
