Suggest Dosage Of Prednisone
Question: 5 days ago I had an er dr prescribe me 3 20mg prednisone tabs once a day for 5 days.i ran out on day 5 . that night a different er dr. (same er) re-prtescribed the same amount for another 5 days. same problem. isnt this too much prednisone for me to take in 10 days. or is it ok. please help

I understand your concern.
Prednisolone should only be used for a short period only.
Your doctor must have felt the need so must have prescribed.
Definitely Pred is not a drug to be taken for long-term. But 20 mg is not a very high dose to harm you much.
You should see your doctor again and let him evaluate you. If he feels that there is no further need then he will taper it and stop.

Yes 60 mg / day of dose is very high.
Important here is that for what reason you have been prescribed such high dose. For respiratory problems I personally prefer not to use Prednisolone more than 40 mg/ day. I think you should re visit your primary care physician and let him decide if you require such a high dose of Pref or not.
If he would feel now you don't require such a high dose then he would taper it and stop.
