Question: What is the dose of clavum to be administered to an infant of 8 months and weighing 6kgs, born prematurely. Symptoms are chest congestion, cough, fever and running nose. Thanks.

I would recommend Syp Clavum 5 ml twice daily for next 3-5 days depending upon the response.

Also, start an antihistamine such as Maxtra or T minic drops and crocin for symptomatic relief.

In case Clavum drops have to be administered as he just weighs 6.4 kg, .what would be the appropriate dosage for him and how many times a day. Would syrup Clavum be safe for my child in a 5 ml dose...twice a day? Thanks.
