Brief Answer:
more of green vegetables.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

I can sort some foods for you which will help you to plan the diet during pregnancy:

Green vegetables must be used like Cabbage, Cauli-flower & all long green vegetables such as Turai, Louki, Parwal, Spinach.

Try to avoid brinjal, onion, chilli, garlic, ginger, pepper, from diet as these can cause dyspepsia.

Black grapes, banana, ripe XXXXXXX dates, cashewnuts, apricot are very beneficial.
But avoid papaya and pineapple.

Butter, milk, honey, fennel seeds, sweets made from jaggery rather than white sugar can be taken in small quantity.

Items made from wheat and rice can be used.

Avoid bakery foods, cold drinks, alcohol and tobacco.

Do not eat left over, frozen & deep-frozen food.

Following approximate estimation should be adequate:

1. 3 servings of cereals and grains.
2. 2 servings of pulses.
3. 2 servings of milk and milk products.
4. 4 servings of green vegetables.
5. 2 servings of fruits.

Hope you find this information useful.

Feel free to discuss further.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
eggs can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.

Eggs are a very nutritious food. But it should be fresh.

I would suggest you to avoid chicken. It can cause indigestion. Even slightly undercooked chicken can be a source of infection.

Ocassional intake of chicken (fresh and properly cooked) is no problem.

Garlic and onion in food preparations can be taken.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
