Brief Answer:
Eighth Month

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Since your wife is in eighth month she should not pursue heavy excercises like lifting weight or exertion.

2) Such heavy excercises will lead to preterm labour and hence not good for her.

3) She can go for walk in the garden near your house in the morning and evening.

4) Other than that no excercises needed at this late stage of pregnancy.

5) Diet: She can have a balanced diet frequent but small quantity.

6) She can have bread biscuits with tea or milk in morning after getting up. Because staying hungry till breakfast might lead to gastritis and vomiting.

7) She can have breakfast by 9 am containing idli / dosa / upma or anything you prepare regularly at home. But in moderate quantity.

8) Snack like fruit at around 11 am.

9) Lunch between 1 to 2 PM.

10) Evening snack between 5 to 6 PM.

11) Dinner between 8 to 10 PM.

The lunch and dinner can include same diet what you eat daily at home. No special diet or restrictions. Let her include fruits and sprots for snacks.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Dr. Mahesh Koregol
