Two auto injuries at work. : Female Age : 46 I'm looking for a pain doc or internal med doc who will prescribe my percocets and do injections ( epidural). I have back, hip, nerve pain down my left leg, meniscus tear in left knee (had surgery), ankle and foot surgery; not to mention left and right shoulder rotator cuff tears (had left shoulder surgery) , and need right shoulder surgery soon. I had an autoimmune blood test done which showed I have joint issues. I am in pain 24/7, also with migraines and neck c5-7 herniated bulging disk. I use to get Percocet 30s @ 5 to 6 a day, now I can't find a doctor to take care of me anymore, especially with my meds. I have no quality of life anymore. I can't work, nor finish the 7 classes I have left to get my bachelor degree due to debilitating pain. The pain drives me totally nuts. Can a doctor help me out there so I can somewhat have

hi Dr! Thank you for replying to my message. I live in the Columbus Ohio area. I have been afraid to go to any doctor and ask for help being a chronic pain patient we were treated very sad. my normal neurologist, and pain doctors they pretty much given up on me and they know of all my issues and I try to let him know what works for me so I can get into therapy, in other things and work but they don't want to hear it. I'm sure you know what they look at me as. I've been turned away by at least four doctors and been dismissed from a pain management doctor because they gave me morphine and I broke out really bad, I was vomiting and all that good stuff; of course they didn't believe me. But doctor, my doctors are the one who started me on the percocets, and in the beginning I refuse to take them and they got upset because I wouldn't take them, but when I finally decided to take them I realize that the medication worked and I was able to do homework, go to work, and take care of my home and kids /family. so if in fact you do have a doctor you can refer me to or tell me about that would be great! I'm just tired of being frowned upon when I need help. Thank you
doctor

Brief Answer: Sorry for the troubles, need help Detailed Answer: Hello again Mr Davis! I am sorry for your trouble but i want you to know why the doctors have been so harsh. Because they have been scolded by authorities for the excessive abuse of prescribed pain medicines by them and the result is that policies have benn strict since then and people who deserve genuine management like you have suffered in response too. Prescription drug abuse is national epidemic. The state of Ohio has been hit particularly hard and that explains why you have been so mistreated because of some malpracticing prescribers have perplexed situation. Attorney General XXXXXXX XXXXXXX (Mike) DeWine, JD, has been the one to make policies reformation WWW.WWWW.WW and that is why doctors have been confused who to consider serious and whom not to. Your issue is well reasonable and discuss it with your local authorities and chronic pain management specialist and seek help and prove that you are not the one on abusive side. rather you are victim and suffer for the pain for that. Here are some available pain management centers in Ohio. Discuss the different options like injections and botulinum toxins etc for the pain management with them and let them decide what is best for you.. sign up for physiotherapies and get the opinion from those who care for you.
