Brief Answer:
The weight gain is excellent - Do not change Lactogen

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I feel it is better not to change lactogen as the kid is gaining weight well with it.
I have a few questions for you -
1. When the kid was only on exclusive breast feeding - was he gaining weight well?
2. How may times was the kid passing urine when he was only on mother' s feeding?
3. After each mother's feed how many hours the baby used to sleep?
4. While only on exclusive breast feeding how much time the baby used to suck at the breast?

Kindly get back with answers to above questions. I am asking all these questions because the best feed for the baby till 6 months of age is exclusive breast feeding (not even water need to be given).

But if you are convinced that really the mother's milk output is low, then no harm in giving formula feeds.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
