1. As Age for the said disease is around 40 years (44 in you) thus the pathology has strike you in it's natural phase.
PS. very unusual to have genetic cause
2. Although the disease has affinity for upper respiratory tract,do let me know whether any other part/organ of the body is affected or not?
PS. is biopsy of any region taken, and what was the outcome.
3. Since the disease has frequency of "flares" thus are there any attacks of remission and later into normal pattern?
4. Since how long you are suffering from the disease and the duration of medicine taken?
PS. are the side effects mild-moderate- severe and any blood tests to confirm.the same done?
5. In Ayurveda, all the AI (Autoimmune) disease are said to be due to Improper metabolism (AGNI MANDYA) resulting in formation of undigested toxin (AMA) which is the root cause of every disease thus treatment and management will be directed towards:
. Elimination of formed toxin (AMA)
. Improvement in Digestion (AGNI)
. Increasing Immunity (Rasayan Chikitsa)

My replies to your queries are as below :

In CT scan done in mid XXXXXXX 2015 there was Ground Glass observed in lungs , which was suspected to be BOOP (COP) and auto immune disease. in Detailed Pulmonary Function Test , the lungs were found to be normal. Later on when Kidney Function test was done, Creatinine = 2.2. Also in Urine , Protein = ++. Then Nephrologist advised other tests and pANCA=66. Based on this the Nephrologist concluded that it is Vasculitis Wegener Granulomatosis and proble with lungs and kidney are due to this disease. Based on this diagnosis the treatment started with Steroid ( Prednisolone = 40 mg) and Immunosuppressant ( Cyclophosphamide = 100 mg) per day. Biopsy was not done.
3. Since the disease has frequency of "flares" thus are there any attacks of remission and later into normal pattern?
I have mentioned the History of problem below.

There are some side effects of Steroids i.e. Hair loss has started , selling in face and body, body weight increased by 5 kg ( now it is 75 kg).No other visible side effect.
History of problem :
My wife Bhawana aged 44 years , was feeling dullness and fever between 99-100 F during the month of May2015.we then consulted the General Alopathic Physician and he gave Antibiotics. After treatment of around 10-12 days there was no improvement.
Then I referred to Urologist and he also gave Antibiotics.
On 15th XXXXXXX 2015 the Urologist referred us to Nephrologist ( Kidney Specialist). That time Creatinine =2.2 , Protein in Urine = ++ and ESR = 95.
On 16th XXXXXXX 2015 I met Nephrologist ( Kidney Specialist) and he asked other tests. He asked for tests ( ASLO , C3 , C4 , pANCA and cANCA ). pANCA = 65. Other tests were normal. He informed that my Wife is having Autoimmune disease Vasculitis Wegener. Because of this problem there is inflammation of small blood vessels and my wife's kidney and lung function is affected.
From 19th XXXXXXX 2015 Nephrologist started giving my wide Prednisolone 40 mg ( steroid) and Cyclophosphamide 100mg(immunosuppressant) per day. For the last two months the steroid is reduced in steps till Prednisolone was 15mg per day and Cyclophosphamide 100mg per day.
However, when we tested on 12th Sep 2015 , the Creatinine was increased to 1.14. After looking at that the Nephrlogist increased Prednisolone to 30mg per day and maintained Cyclophosphamide 100mg per day.
We tested again on 19th Sep 2015 , the Creatinine is now reduced to 1.02. After looking at that the Nephrlogist decreased Prednisolone to 25 mg per day and maintained Cyclophosphamide 100mg per day.
on 26th Sep 2015 the Creatinine = 1.03.After looking at that the Nephrlogist decreased Prednisolone to 20 mg per day and maintained Cyclophosphamide 100mg per day.
on 03rd Oct 2015 the Creatinine = 1.06.After looking at that the Nephrlogist decreased Prednisolone to 17.5 mg per day and increased Cyclophosphamide 150mg per day.

1. As there's gradual decrease in creatinine value (lessening of inflammation), there is no mentioning of ESR value which was high at the first visit. (Do let me know about the same)
2. In reference to our telephonic conversation: " she is healthy and doing all household work at ease" thus we will not go for any heroic measures,instead:
ELIMINATE AMA
. Trifla is considered as the best detoxifying agent, thus take 1 tsp with lukewarm water at night.
3-6 months
. During exacerbation:
- take light,easily digestible, and liquid diet (ginger tea with castor oil, rice gruel, thin soup, khichadi).
- eliminate animal fat-fried foods-dairy products-all white sugar-potato,tomato, pepper,tobacco,ALUMINIUM.
.During Remission:
- medicated enema.
- mahayogaraj guggul.
- regular exercise programme.
- deal with any emotional issues (very important)
IMPROVE AGNI (care of the liver)
.since Liver is an important source of Agni (energy) which is necessary for metabolism of AMA thus supportive liver therapy is much helpful.
PS. Take Hep-DS (2 tsf daily)
IMPROVE IMMUNITY (IMMUNOMODULATION)
. Since the disease is a result of AI (Autoimmune) thus Immunomodulators should be used: Ashwagandha-Shankhpushpi-Giloy-Jatamanasi- Suvarn Malni XXXXXXX Ras-Vacha-Amla.
