Suggest An Alternative Medication For Nystan Taken For Oral Thrush

Question: I have thrush on my tongue and the Dr gave me some Nystan to be used 4 times a day I have been using it for 5days but it is as bad as was 5 days ago,I have now run out,the Chemist wouldn't sell me any as was a prescription ,is there any alternative? I Have stopped taking Lanzoprasol

As of now you can continue the medication, that you are on. Unfortunately here we can not write the prescription, you need to see a local doctor for prescription.

If it is persistent, use Fluconazole lozenges in consultation with your GP.

The lozenges are less likely to affect, but I would suggest you to watch for few symptoms and You should notify your doctor if you have symptoms such as drowsiness, visual disturbances, changes in behavior, nausea, or poor muscle coordination.
