Suggest An Alternative Drug Of Adderal For Depression

Posted on Fri, 20 Jun 2014
Question: I take Vyvanse 50mg in the morning and 30mg adderall IR in early evening for the crash from Vyvanse. My drug coverage does not pay for it, and I cannot afford to pay for it. Is there something comparable? Dexedrine spansules? Dexedrine extended release? I just want to give my doctor some ideas before asking. Thanks

Brief Answer:
try sustained release or optional drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
You can use a long acting preparation of Vyvanse to avoid evening Adderal addition.
Another medicine which can be tried under medical supervision are Quillivant XR and Focal in XR. Ritalin is used for children but can be effective for some adults as well.
Please let your clinician decide which one will best suit you. They are prescription drugs and must be taken under doctor's supervision only.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
