Brief Answer:
nip the cause don't mask it

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
Hand tremor is a symptom of underlying issue and propranolol just masks it does not cure it.we need to cure it.
Tremor responding to propranolol makes it worth assessment for thyroid functions ass hyperthyroidism irrespective of the type is classic for such tremors.if you are nervous, anxious, sweat alot, has a pounding heart, have lost weight or have reduced the menstrual flow etc or any of them that will make the suspicion of deranged thyroid functions more likely. Get to an endocrinologist and let them take care of you.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.

I have been on prempro 0 .3/1.5 for ten years + and never had any problems. I recently have been diagnosed with subclinical Hyperthyroid. I have been working with my Doctor on regulating my dose of tapazole. For the past 10 days I have been having terrible night sweats. I wake drenched. I m irritable and can t sleep. I had an appointment scheduled to see my Doctor to get the latest results of my tsh and t4. I thought for sure that he was going to say I was hyperthyroid and we needed to adjust my dose of tapazole. Instead he said my labs were perfect (right were they should be). So he thought that it could be I needed a little higher dose of prempro. Now I am on 0.4/1.5. I am 65 yrs old. Have you ever increased estrogen dosage in someone my age and why all of a sudden menopausal symptoms after all these years? Thanks

I am a 43 year old male. My entire life I have felt hot and I have always sweated profusely. The least little amount of activity can trigger sweating. Even when I go skiing and it's 20-degrees, I can only wear a single layer of clothing (short sleeve shirt). I tend to get dehydrated very quickly, so I have to drink water also continuously. In social settings, I tend to avoid activity in an effort to avoid getting hot and sweaty. Do I have Hyperthyroidism or some other condition? This constant condition can't be normal and it certainly prohibits me from living life to the fullest.
