Question: I've been on Glucosamine for about 20 yrs 1500gr a day and where as my mother had 2 hip prosthesis at the age of 50 & 51 I managed to get to 77yrs before I had mine done. I put this down to Glucosamine as I'm sure it stopped my joints getting stiff although the pain of the arthritis was evident, being able to get in and out of bed and chairs was no problem because my joints moved smoothly. This was supplied free from my consultant in Spain but now I'm back UK they wont prescribe it and the price in the health shops & chemist I just can't afford on a pension, for the little bottle of 30 x 30mgs @

Brief Answer:
Glucosamine

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, yes Glucosamine is suppose to help a bit in delaying the progession of Osteoarthritis. But yes, the UK group doesnt believe in it and with the recent guidelines they have totally abolised any role of Glucosamine. So I feel, it may be a bit tough getting your hands on there.

But you can request your GP for the same. As long as it helps you can continue it for a while. If you have any contact here in XXXXXXX it can always be sent without much trouble as well

Do let me know for moer queries and if i can help you out in a better way
