Cough will benefit from dextromethorphan / nose bloc and running from phenylephrine / allergy from antihistamine - like chlorphenaramine - all of them are available as individual preparations and also in combination. The combination is convenient - one such example is CHERICOF. This can be taken as 2 sachets - 3 times a day. // Syrup is also available - 5 to 10 ML - 3 times a day // There are several other similar preparations available in the pharmacy. Please get it prescribed by your primary care physician.
Take care - the cough medicine and antihistamine can cause drowsiness in some / Beware of driving or handling machinery.
If the symptoms prolong beyond a week and/or sputum develops a XXXXXXX or yellow color - you may need antibiotic. / No need at present. / It is probably viral...
If still not recovered, may need investigations.
