Question: I have bipolar suicidal the meds I take do not help I sleep 12 to 16 hrs a day is there anything I can try

Dear patient,

Thanks for your health concerns. Lithium carbonate has shown to be the most effective medication to control bipolar disorder; it can have side effects and needs closer monitoring by a psychiatrist, but would be worth giving a try if you haven’t yet, and have normal kidney function.
