Hi, XXXXXXX

You are having complaints of hair loss and thinning of hair shafts. Right?

But, before I come to some conclusion i would like to ask you few questions..

What is the duration of your hair loss?

Which particular area is affected? Whole scalp or frontal areas or central part of scalp?

Do you have dandruff?

Do you have itching on scalp?

Do you have any lesion on scalp?

Any family history of hair loss, male pattern baldness? In father, brother, uncle, grandfather..

Any other skin disease you have?

Any intrnal disease you have? DM, thyroid dysfunction, anaemia or other

Do you have any bad habit? likesmoking, tobbaco chewing, alcohol etc..

Did you get blood tests? Like T3,T4,TSH,Hb,TC ,DC ,ESR,RBS,HIV,LFT..if not , then go for the tests..ok

And do you take any treatment at present besides homeopathy?

Please post the photograph of scalp., So that I can come to diagnosis and give you proper advice.

Hi XXXXXXX

Good,you have given answers nicely.

I have seen your photo.

It seems that you are having seborrheic dermatitis of scalp and androgenetic alopecia grade 1.

Hair loss may be due to S.D.

S D i.e. Dandruff may be due to variety of causes.. like tension, stress, poor hygiene, poor immunity..etc

In your case I think it may be due to stress and tension.

So, be free of tension. Avoid stress.Be positive.Do meditation and exercise. You will get lot of benefit.

Apply mild steroid with salicylic acid lotion daily at night', till control of dandruff.

Do daily shampoo using ketoconazole containing shampoo daily at bath.

Take antifungal tablets for 2 weeks..like ketoconazole or fluconazole.

Steroid tablets may be taken for short duration in tappering dose..

After clearance of S D, you start treatment for A G A..

Oral finasteride 1 mg daily and application of minoxidil 10 % may be helpful.

Tablets containing biotin may be taken daily.

But, you should continue treatment for long time , may be for 2 to 4 years.

After getting satisfactory result, you may discontinue.

If you get relapse, you may restart the treatment.

However, Thyroid dysfunction should be ruled out by test T3,T4,TSH

Still, you should consult Dermatologist..

After discussion with him, you should undergo treatment under his supervision.

I hope you might be satisfied with my answer, if you have any query, you are welcome.

Wishing good health.
