Question: i have been diagnosed with mild artheritis of the hips but have hardly any symptoms maybe slight pain in my right hip but very rarely. my doctor has perscribed vimovo 500mg + 20 mg modified release tablets to take one a day . i didnt think i would need any medication. what do you think

Brief Answer:
Probably osteoarthritis of hip.will require analgesic depending on pain

Detailed Answer:
the medication that has been prescribed is an anti inflammatory it will give you relief from pain.
However we need to be certain as to what is causing the arthritis.
is it osteoarthritis.
then the treatment remains exercise and anti inflammatory drugs or analgesic.
so it is not a necessity but you may take it on and off according to pain.
