Should Tetanus Injection Be Taken After Injury With A Copper Wire?

Question: i got hurt via a small copper wire. The wire was clean. Do i need to take a tetanus injection?

If the cut is shallow, no need. If it's deep, would be better to get done..

Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. In general, a shallow cut on a clean wire should not need a Tetanus Booster injection. Putting some Neosporin on the wound should be more than enough.

But if the wound was a puncture wound, very deep or needed stitches then it would be a good idea to get the injection done.
