Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Acidity problem can be a symptom of stomach disease or it can be a disease itself (it is called acid reflux disease).
Stomach acid secretion is stimulated by foods (fatty foods, fried foods, spicy foods, coffee, soft drinks, alcohol, sweats), stress, Helicobacter Pylori infection, medicines (Aspirin, pain killers). All this factors can trigger stomach disease like stomach inflammation, peptic ulcer and in some cases stomach cancer.
Irregular meals intake has also great impact on stomach condition and can be one of the factors causing your symptoms.

Symptoms associated with stomach disease are upper middle abdominal pain, chest burning, nausea. Weight lost can be also present.

Left side chest pain can be caused by stomach problem. However, it is always necessary to rule out heart issues. Especially if the pain radiates to the left arm or jaw, shortness of breath appears, dizziness.

As it is necessary to rule out stomach diseases first (including cancer and H.Pylori infection), I suggest you to visit your doctor and have gastroscopy performed. Heart condition should be also checked with heart ECG.
It is possible that H.Pylori infection is triggering your symptoms and its eradication will permanently cure your problem.

In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, alcohol, fruit juices. Try to have your meals regularly. Do not lay down after a meal. Do not eat before sleeping (last meal should be 2 hours before sleeping). While sleeping, put your head a little bit higher than usually. You may also try OTC stomach acid neutralizing medicines.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
