Brief Answer: Hemorrhoids Detailed Answer: Hello, This lump of the anus most likely appears to be due to hemorrhoids(Piles). These are basically engaged veins due to increased portal pressure. I usually treat them with local anesthetic gels and stool softening agents. However in view of high rate of recurrence, it is worthwhile to consult a surgeon and plan for surgical treatment. Hope the answer helps you. Let me know if there is any clarifications. Regards.

I have diarrhea but only blood and mucus come out . It looks to be about 2 or 3 oz each time. The blood is heavy and falls to the bottom of the toilet bowl. I have severe abdominal pain and cannot hold down water or food. When I take a sip of water about 10-15 min. later the abdominal pain becomes more severe and and I pass a lot of blood. I also have chills and I m dizzy. My ex-husband cancelled my health insurance so I m no longer covered otherwise I d head straight to the E.R. I ve never had hemorrhoids but that seems to be the consensus by family and friends because of the color of the blood. What else could it be? Thank you for your time.

Hi, Iv e been having off and on bright red rectal bleeding when going to the bathroom, sometimes when I have a bowel movement , sometimes just when I have gas while urinating. This happens when stool is soft, even with no straining or constipation . At times I also have a watery, tan discharge in between bathroom visits. There is no feces smell to the discharge; it smells like raw flesh. I had internal hemorrhoid banding done a year ago, and was having some bleeding before then, but this is more profuse.

Hi, I’m a 39 year old female and have been suffering from haemorrhoids for almost 2 years. I’m not getting a lot of bleeding, itching or discomfort (or not as much as I used to); however, over the last 6 months, I have been getting a thick, cloudy discharge and a dose of smelly fluid throughout the day occasionally (sometimes with some blood spots). I have tried Preparation H and Anusal treatments without much luck. I also had a colonoscopy done about a six months ago – apparently my colon looks great with no polyps, no problems, except the haemorrhoids (on the outside). Because of the discharge, my doctor recommended taking this to the next level and seeing a gastroenterologist/surgeon. However, I would much rather try a less invasive option, if there is one – besides my appointment has been scheduled for DEC 2012. Over the last few weeks I started taking magnesium and selenium pills, and I noticed that the occasional bleeding from haemorrhoids is gone, plus I have a much easier time going to the washroom. However, the discharge and fluid is still there.

Iam terrified and in an indescribable amount of pain. If i have tried so many thing you wouldnt even believe the extent tht iv gone to help it and iv seen a gastro but he didnt help me.
