Possible Triceps Tear. Hello Yesterday I Was Putting A Bar
Hello yesterday i was putting a bar on my back for squats. I lifted in a pressing motion and felt immediate pain in the back of my arm. I stopped immediately and used low weights to warm it up and completed my workout. Today it is not sore by itself but it is tender to deeper touch. Is it safe to workout lightly with it? Is it a tear or a strain? What should I do?
Avoid the workout. Mild sprain or tear likely.

The presence of deep tenderness and mild pain is suggestive of a muscle sprain. Mild tear can also be present. It is best to avoid the workout involving the arms for next one week and allow the area to heal properly. All the painful activities must be restricted so that it does not cause any internal bleeding or hematoma formation. This is likely to heal on its own in next few days. In case the pain and tenderness increases then do consult your orthopedician for a direct examination.

Light workout isn't harmful

You can do a little workout as long as it is not painful . Stop the exercise as soon as there is pain .
Rest is the best treatment .
