Brief Answer:
Probably hormonal imbalance.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I see through your query that you are having a regular period cycle of five days. In my opinion, the symptoms of light bleeding can be related to hormonal imbalance.

I don't think that the small lump is related to the bleeding. It is probably a furuncle or infection of the hair follicle.

If the symptoms continue I suggest you measure hormone levels in different days for further evaluation. It's also advisable to get regular ultrasound scans which further help you tracking the ovulation period.

If hormonal imbalance is confirmed through the examinations, you should consult your gynecologist and take prescribed hormone replacement therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards

I have recently started Metformin as I have just been diagnosed as diabetic type 2 could this be the problem until my body gets used to it as my hormones stabilise. It is also supposed to help with ovulation isn't it. Lastly how do I get rid of in growing hair if that is the problem please? Do you believe in acupuncture for fertility

Brief Answer:
Acupuncture may increase fertility.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

Metformin can help in hormone imbalance and also fertility. This medication needs 4 to 8 weeks to help restore a regular, normal menstrual cycle.

In my opinion, acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress and balancing the endocrine system. There are no reported side effects so you may give it a try.

You can treat ingrown hairs through warm compresses and applying anti-inflammatory creams for local treatment.

Hope I helped you!

Wish you all the best,

Brief Answer:
Metformin will help to regulate the hormone imbalance.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

Metformin will help regulate the hormone imbalance,so you should continue the medication.

From 2 to 4 weeks after the miscarriage the menstrual cycle return to normal and you begin to ovulate as normal.

I suggest you to do regular ultrasound scans during different periods of the cycle. This way you can plan regular intercourses to raise the chance of pregnancy.

I am glad I could help dear.
Best wishes,
Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
