Periodically Getting Lump Behind Ear. Sore To Touch. What Could Be This?

Question: my daughter periodically gets a lump or two behind her left ear. right now she has one behind her left ear in the beginning of her hairline. it is sore to the touch. they will be there for days and then disappear. What could these be thanks

The lump behind the ear is likely to be a swollen lymph node due to large mosquito bites she is having. Once the mosquito bites subside, these swellings will also subside spontaneously. Please do not worry.
Lymph nodes are part of the of the immune system helps in fighting against infections. They are like police man of our body, it pops out whenever there is ongoing infection in the vicinity and become inflamed or enlarged. The conditions may range from trivial infections such as a throat infection, to life-threatening such as cancers.
She can take pain relievers and antibiotic after consulting with her physician.
