Hello for posting the query
There can be various reasons for your pain in the knee joint
Reasons for your pain could be trauma, arthritis, medial collateral ligament injury etc.
Since you are a diabetic and already suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, you need a proper physical examination and possibly few investigations like MRI of the knee or arhroscopy of the knee joint.
Generally simple x-rays are not able to tell the exact problem
Till you XXXXXXX your doctor, take following measures like
Rest to the knee joint
Hot fomentation
Simple pain killers
I hope to have answered your query however if any further query, you are welcome
Thanks and good luck
