Hi
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic
Dark lips can be due to many conditions like breast feeding, respiratory or circulation problem. Breast fed babies can develop some dark colour on their lips which will go away in a few months time. Make sure your kid is well hydrated too and keep his surrounding temperature constant. Do not expose him to too hot or too cold environment. You can apply Vaseline which is safe but do this after feeds and wipe it before feeding.
If its dark and blue or purple colour it can indicate some serious problem with lungs and heart.
Whatever it is, I would suggest you to consult your physician at the earliest to rule out major problems.
