Hi! I am a 40 year old female, 4 11 and weigh 368 pounds. I have a history of gallstones, true pernicious anemia, Hashimoto s thyroiditis, and high blood pressure. I am writing because I am concerned about vomiting yellow bile that was gritty or sandy in texture. I vomited yellow bile twice about 3 weeks ago yet this last episode today had a gritty-like texture to it, much like sand. I was diagnosed with gallstones in April 2012, scheduled for gallbladder removal only to need it to be cancelled due to my morbid obesity. I have not had it removed yet. Could the sandy/gritty texture in the yellow bile actually be gallstones coming out? Is this a cause for concern? My PCP is out of town until Wednesday so I was wondering if I should go to an urgent care or ER for this. I d hate to bog down an ER with something that can be taken care of by my PCP. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. - Lea Ann

For the past few years all of my muscles hurt very bad and I can barely move. A year ago I went to my family dr and he began to treat me for arthritis as I could not determine where the pain was coming from. We tried several different medicines but no relief. This year my gall bladder had to be removed and it was in very bad shape. After that occurred in May, I was able to isolate that the pain is in my muscles. If I attempt any kind of physical activity like walking much at work (hotel desk clerk) I get so stiff and hurt so much in my muscles that I can barely move and this pain does not go away ever. I stopped having my menstrual cycle in January. No hot flashes or cold sweats. I am 47, weight 369lbs and have no medical problems except morbid obesity. For 2 weeks, I am not able to sleep and most of what I eat makes my abdominal area ache or causes indigestion. I cannot continue to tolerate the muscle pain because it never subsides, not for days or weeks; it just continues to ache and stiffness .
