I did not think that red meat was healthy for breast cancer at all. My husband is on keto with no carbs of bread, dessert, potato, etc., etc. He lost 10lbs in 4 weeks. it sounds unhealthy for me. I have reduced some sugar/carbs but not to that extreme. I have a walking program and have walked 70 miles in the last month. No weight loss. Please explain.

Hi

High fat diet (keto) including beef, pork, lamb, chicken, fish and shellfish, whole eggs including yolks, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, asparagus, zucchini, eggplant, olives, spinach, mushrooms, cucumber, lettuce, avocado, onions, peppers, tomatoes, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds are good for preventing recurrence of breast cancer.

The ketogenic diet typically reduces blood glucose levels, and high blood glucose is associated with tumor growth and reduced survival rates in cancer patients, carbohydrate restriction lowers insulin and insulin-like growth factor which directly stimulate tumor cell proliferation.

Sometimes the ketogenic diet inhibits, as ketones are anti-Ketones may directly reduce the viability of cancer cells
