My Wife Is Being Treated With Haldol 2mg Injection Intramuscular
Question: My wife is being treated with Haldol 2mg injection intramuscular for extreme agitation/restlessness, licensed nurse to administer. Is this ok!!!
She is living in a very good Care Center in XXXXXXX Id.
she shows no improvement after 2 injections daily for 5 days.

4 mg is quite ok dose for 83 year old women provided she is healthy otherwise. In case she is not shoving improvement even after five days of treatment it is fine as haldol takes much time contrary to our expectation.
In case the effect is not evident even after another five days of treatment, increasing the dose of medication can be considered.
