Question: My wife and I moved to Tennessee almost a year ago from California. We both have seasonal allergies. weeds, dust, etc. Seems like we have increased PND and coughing up garbage since the move. Pollens are down do to the colder weather. This has not changed our symptoms. What should I be looking for as a cause?

Neither of us have "cold" symptoms. More like an allergy. This is why I am concerned. Our breathing seems normal. Why would cold weather make this worse? I am not following the logic.

Brief Answer:
Cold weather itself can worsen nasal mucosa.

Sorry for late reply as I was busy.
Cold weather itself can worsen symptoms.
Inhaling cold air can lead to damage in nasal mucosa which ultimately causes more secretions which tend to go behind the nose as post nasal drip (PND) and this PND is causing cough and expectoration.
So please let me know
1. Do you use air purifier at home?
2. Do you go outside more in this weather?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
