Question: My son recently noticed a small cluster of tiny white blister type pumps on his arm. He went to an urgent care and was given Fluzonacole, but the cluster of bumps went away so he didn't take the medicine, but later the cluster of white bumps re-appeared so he began taking the Fluzonacole. While taking the medication the small tiny bumps began to spread all over his body and his arms, hands and other parts of his body began to swell, at which point he went to the hospital and was given a shot of steroids and antibiotics. He was also given prescriptions to fill for the same medicines. The shots seemed to help because the swelling went down and the tiny white bumps dried up, but he was itching all over. I later learned my son never filled the prescriptions. The felt the shots given at the hospital took care of everything, but a week later. The symptoms returned, he filled the prescriptions but the symptoms didn't go away as quickly as when he received the shots. He went to a dermatologist who re-filled the prescriptions and took a sample of his skin and tissues in the affected areas. We waiting for the results, but my son mentioned to me tonight that his skin looks very ash n grey. What do you think the problem could be. I'm a very concerned mother who lives in a different state from her son and his wife. Thanks for any assistance you can give

Brief Answer:
These blisters are most probably due to bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
The symptoms that you mentioned are most probably due to bacterial infection. You need not worry about it as it is a common skin problem. However you need to take antibiotics for the infection to prevent further complications until the biopsy results come. Once the results are obtained we can get clear picture and then take treatment accordingly.
