Brief Answer:
Immobilsation of neck with a cervical collar and get an X ray done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I appreciate your concern.

You should get an xray done of the neck (cervical spine), in order to rule out any fracture.

Since pain is persisting after 7 days, so you need to rule out fracture first.

Meanwhile ask him to use cervical collar for immobilization of the neck.

You can give him pain killer with muscle relaxant for symptomatic relief.

Hope this helps
