Question: My podiatrist gave me a 50/50 chance of my avulsion fracture off of the plantar base of the first toe to heal on it’s own. If I do need surgery what is the recovery like? Thank you!

I have gone throught your query and understand your concern. Usually avulsion fractures take around 3 to 12 weeks time to heal. Recovery time post surgery will be around 2 to 4 weeks minimum which varies from patient to patient.
