Brief Answer:
Metrogyl can affect pancreas

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

There is evidence in medical research to suggest the use of antibiotics and increased risk of diabetes type 2. Normal flora in human gut can influence nutrients. Antibiotics can alter the normal flora and increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Another possibility is that metrogyl can cause inflammation of pancreas and result in type 2 diabetes.

Metrogyl can cause diarhea or decrease urine output temporarily and result in electrolyte disturbances.

Such disturbances are usually temporary and body restores its balance after medicine is stopped.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
