My Husband Has A Very Large Lump Between His Scrotum And His Anus Please Advise What Can Be Done?

Question: My husband has a very large lump between his scrotum and his anus. during one of his last showers he felt a lump he assumed to be a boil or zit and squeezed it and out came a slightly smaller than marble mass that he tried to push through the shower drain but it would not smush down. He didn't show me but told me this a day or so after. He told me he has had blood from this area and stuck paper toweling there. He finally showed this area to me yesterday, it's kind of in the crease of leg and genitals. the hole that this thing came from has left a slit the size of something you could fit a dime through. His doctor is only in on Fridays so he said he would go in to try to be fit in between appointments. I suggested ER and by all means, stop squeezing anything. But like most men has an aversion to anything that could lead to putting his legs up in stirrups. He showed his doctor a couple if not a few years ago his area and his doctor immediately sent him for PSA test. he was in his forties. He is now 55. he is medically retired because of a back injury but has been complaining more than usual about lower back pain. I know I should take him to ER but being 150 lbs more than me I can't carry him or shove him in the truck. please advise.

Brief Answer:
I would like to have some more information

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it could be an Abscess.Abscess is the lesion that is most common in that area.
But,I would like to have some more information.
1.What is the duration of the disease?
2.Whether it is Painful?
3.Whether it is discharging any fluid or Pus?
4.Whether fever is present or not?
If at all it is Painful, you should take him to ER immediately. The pus has to be drained. It is a simple procedure.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish him speedy recovery.
Regards

Blood and pus came from the marble size thing, continued oozing of blood. But that is separate from the large mass behind his scrotum. I have told him to stop squeezing anything just in case the discharge from the squeeze goes inside instead of coming out. Doesn't seem to be running a fever but it has been hotter than normal where we live. His problem with peeing isn't making me feel any more comfortable. His doctor's response years ago when he looked at his unit and immediately ordered PSA bothered me. Unfortunately, I was not with him so I don't know exactly the doctor's response. I will be getting a medical power of attorney since this has occurred because I don't trust his casualness about it. the mass seems way too large to be anything that will go away by itself. The mass is a little smaller than a golf ball. That coupled with his urination frequency and feeling that his bladder isn't empty concerns me. Doctor, I don't have the same plumbing parts he does so I really don't know what is normal and what is not. He is disabled and has had a rod in his right leg for 40 some years. His leg has turned out significantly and is shorter than the other leg That is the same side as his that open sore is now. He is on medication for his leg and back to the exte4nt that they are going to put a pump in him. So the meds they have him on may be masking the pain of the prostate. Also, the doctor didn't like the numbers of PSA back then but I couldn't get any more out of him than that. Thank you HHIPA. Can I have him start taking herbal remedies before I can get him in to see his doctor? Or should I let the symptoms be what they may so they are not masked anymore? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Brief Answer:
It looks like an Abscess

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like an Abscess which is drained partially.
If you squeeze ,some amount of pus and blood will come through a small hole and slowly the hole gets blocked and pus reaccumulates again. So,under Anaesthesia, wide Incision has to be given and whole pus has to be drained.
Mostly, the other swelling beneath the scrotum will be communicating with the other.
Please take him to ER immediately and get it drained with Wide local excision.
Don't try any house remedies.
Nothing to worry.
Wish him good health.
Regards
