Question: My fiancé has been constipated for almost a month now and when we went to urgent care they told him just to continue taking laxatives but it just isn’t working. We can really afford to go to the hospital unless absolutely necessary and the urgent care was no help at all. What should we do?

Brief Answer:
Use fleet enema.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details and I appreciate your concerns,
If you can't afford visiting to a hospital right now just give her fleet enema. Its over the counter and could be repeated twice a day. This would provide temporary relief but once the covid crisis is over detailed investigations would be required to find out the root cause for it.
Hope I was helpful.
Thank you!
