Question: My Gastroentrologist thinks I might have Anakolsing Spondylitis . I am 59 years of age and have Chrones, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

However I was told by a Rheumatologist that no one can get Anakosling Spondylitis at my age?

Hi
if you have Crohn's there is a possibility of developing ankylosing spondylitis too.
the symptoms of pain may have started earlier, and many a time the diagnosis is delayed.
however, it is not very difficult to confirm it, either with an x-ray of the pelvis, an MRI of the sacroiliac joints plus a blood test in the form of HLA b27.
