Thanks for posting your query.

From these symptoms mood disorders should be ruled out. It is a category of mental health problems that include all types of depression and bipolar disorder.

You should consult a psychiatrist and get your mother evaluated. He can diagnose mood disorders following a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.

Treatment for mood disorders is aimed at addressing negative feelings, helping you to feel normal, capable, and ready for your daily life. It includes:

1)     Antidepressant medications to improve moods
2)     Antipsychotic medications if indicated to treat disordered thought patterns and altered perceptions
3)     Cognitive behavioral therapy to work on thought patterns and behavior
4)     Family therapy
5)     Mood-stabilizing medications
6)     Support groups

Apart from these, lifestyle measures which can be incorporated are:
1)     Your mother should try to identify and focus on activities that makes her feel better.
2)     Motivate her to do things for herself, she should talk to her family and friends and discuss her stress with them. They will help find a solution to a problem.
3)     Controlling and removing anxiety is the primary treatment. Also make her join some meditation and yoga classes to calm her mind.
4)     Regular exercise and proper diet are essential to good health. Exercise is of paramount importance because it releases endorphins from the body
