Mild Concussion, Having Headache And Eye Tears Constantly. What Can This Be?

default

Question: Mild concussion a week ago from fall on concrete. Horrible head pain began two days after, and one eye tears constantly (not the one on the side of my face/head that was injured). CT scheduled for tomorrow. What are they looking for?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Every head injury brings risk of blood vessels rupture and XXXXXXX bleeding. Even if first symptoms do not point it. You need to know that brain bleeding can give symptoms even two weeks after the trauma. Bleeding is the first thing which should be ruled out and most likely this is what they are looking for.
Other thing is you eye constant tearing. It can be a symptom of foreign body in the eye or even brain compression (due to blood accumulation).

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
