Could Spondylolisthesis Cause Numbness Of The Lower Extremities While Standing And Urinary Incontinence?
Question: Maybe...I have numbnes of the lower extremities usually when standing on a hard surface. In this case, If I don't sit down soon, i will fall. I use a walker because my balance is poor, especially when turning quicly or looking to the side. I am also incontinent of urine. I have only seconds to get to a toilet when I need to void, but somtimes no warning at all. I've been diagnosed with spodylolisthesis (spelling?) L 4 over L 5. Could this be the cause? An orthopod told me he could correct this with surgery, but I do not handle general anesthesia well. I have mental confusion. Thus I declined. Do you think the spinal condition could be causing my symptoms? Is there a treatment besides surgery?
My phone is not moble, but landline. I have had an MRI of my lower spine taken a couple of years ago but don't know how to email it.
Have not ever had diabetic neuropathy.

Brief Answer:
Please send the MRI images or the report.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your query.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Spondylolysthesis is a strong possibility in your case regarding the urinary incontinence, numbness and balance.
Confusion in the other hand, is not related to the spinal issues.
It is necessary to get evaluated by a Neurologist about the confusion issues and to provide the MRI report or images by using google drive for example and post the link here, in order for me to understand better your spine condition and to guide you through the possible treatment ways.
