Question: May 8 blood test revealed an elevated ng/mL of 788.
I had imaging gone that day that showed no blood clot. I have an appt with a vascular surgeon on XXXXXXX 10th. I have had vein strippage twice and compartment syndrome surgery once. The compartment surgery was 18'yrs ago, but left my calf swollen to this very day. My balance is bad. Do Imneed to see someone sooner? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Swelling of calf unlikely to be due to complicatiuon of surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Kindly, mention what blood tests you under went and what parameter is 788 ng/mL.
vein strippage surgery is done for varicose veins and compartment syndrome surgery is done to relieve the increased pressure in the compartment of calf / leg.
Swelling of calf 18 years after surgery is unlikely to be due to complication of previous surgery, however, swelling may be due to some pathology related to veins.

Kindly, send me your complete past history and recent blood test results for better interpretation.

Thanks and take care
