Question: i have had a lump---about the size of a broad bean---behind my ear for about 8 months---it is not sore or painful and does not itch---if I touch my ear or when I wake from sleep I can smell a foul
odour---which is difficult to describe---the discharge is clear mainly but sometimes an off white thickish semi liquid--

Brief Answer:
sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query, and an excellent descriptionHowever
You have developed a sebaceous cyst.
Your description exactly matches with that.
It needs to be surgically removed.

However I would like to see a photograph of the lesion.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis and a better line of management.
Please upload a photograph.
There is an option to do so on right side of query page.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you
