Question: Hello, I'm looking for the best birth control pill for a woman with a very sensitive stomach, heavy monthly bleeding with dreadful cramping. My daughter is 21, abstinent (yes, really) and has been on Allesse for 3 months. she was rather nauseous the first month, but OK for the next 2. Yesterday was her first day back on & she was very ill with nauseau and dizziness. Today she is slightly better, but still feeling ill. Any ideas?

Hi,

Welcome to XXXXXXX

Birth control pills are combined oral contraceptive pills.

These contain estrogen and progesterone hormones.

Estrogen can cause nausea to some women.

Thus, you should consult her doctor to prescribe her XXXXXXX pills, which contains only progesterone hormone.

You can discuss with her doctor, other suitable methods of contraception also, like intrauterine device containing 38mg of progesterone, which is effective for one year.

If you have further query in this regard, please feel free to ask.

With good wishes,
