Question: I’m freaking out. I’ve went to two different doctors for trouble getting a deep breath and both listened and said my lungs sounded fantastic. Now I am even more nervous because I had a similar issue 7 years ago and the finding on the X-ray was this

minimal linear density in retrocardiac region may be due to vascular overlap versus minimal atelectasis

And she, at the time, said it was normal! I am worried this grew into something and was missed at that time :(

my parents did this is why I am freaking out. I an worried this has grown.

This kind of finding on chest x ray is normal if patient is asymptomatic.

No never smoked. they told me at this xray it was normal xray

I did not realize but I got a follow up xray two weeks later and that density was not noted in the second one.

See, radiology reportings are subjective.
One radiologist say this is linear density other might call it as normal.
So there are chances of subjective variations.
This is the reason I am asking for X ray pictures, not reports.

okay so the first xray noted the minimal linear density, but then the follow up in 2012 did not note the density. Why would it be noted in the first but not the second?
