I've Been Having Vision Problems With My Left Eye Like

Question: I've been having vision problems with my left eye like flashing lights, dilated puplies, headaches, eye pain and blurred vision. And this is not the first eye pain but in my right eye. I poked myself in the eye while putting on makeup. I solved that pain with Systane Lubricant Eye Drops, several months ago. Do I need glasses? Should I see a specialist and who? How do to Covid19?

Brief Answer:
Needs immediate medical attention.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The changes that you describe are not normal and definitely require specialist intervention. It requires to be assessed by an ophthalmologist and also a neurologist. Just taking glasses is unlikely to resolve the problem. Some neurological problems could result in the symptoms that you have described. Please do that without any further delay.

Although the symptoms do not seem to be related to Covid 19, you may feel free to get tested at a center near you where these tests are done. A nasal swab would be taken and sent for the test.
