Its easily available and almost maintenance free. Among the many benefits of this grass the major one is that of its effect on our digestive system. Being a strong cleansing agent , It improves digestion and detoxifies the body, mainly the blood.. Being rich in Magnesium, it is also excellent for improving constipation. The wheat grass pulp can also be used as a skin and hair/scalp cleanser. Its alkaline in nature, and therefore balances the Ph. Of the body. It improves red blood cell production, corrects various blood defects, good in inflammation of colon and is XXXXXXX in antioxidants. However there are certain precautions that you should follow while taking the wheat Grass Juice. • Never take it with a meal. Ideally it should be taken as the first drink of the day. • If it’s a new addition to your menu, then be careful not to take large quantities of the same. Start with a small amount. Brief Answer: yes, Wheat Grass is good for digestive health Detailed Answer: Hi , Thanks for the reply. Wheat grass, as mentioned, improves the metabolism. hence it does help in weight loss, but at the same time it's not as effective alone. The effect of wheat grass or its products in treatment of Lax GE are not clearly established as yet. However, since its rich in multiple minerals and vitamins and that too in a harmonious balance, thus it is considered good for overall digestive health. In Lax GE junction, the food is pushed back towards the esophagus from the stomach, as the valve becomes loose and fails to lock. This causes heart bun and bloated feeling. Diet plays a central role in the management of this condition. It is important to identify the key foods that aggravates the symptoms, which may vary from person to person. To keep a record of your food intake it’s necessary for you to maintain a FOOD DIARY. The foods that are found to increase the reflux are: • Fried food- avoid deep fried foods and limit the fat intake to 4-5 tsp. per day. • Caffeine: limit tea and coffee to 2 cups a day. • Spices and condiments: use only the necessary seasonings, keep the spice profile of your diet as low as possible. • Aerated drinks: cola and soda based drinks increase the chances of having a gastric reflux, especially when consumed on an empty stomach. • Limit the use of garlic, onion, chilies, capsicum etc. and keep a close eye on how your body reacts to intake of green leafy vegetables and whole grains. • Avoid alcohol and smoking. • Citrus foods like oranges, tomato and lemon may trigger reflex, strictly avoid these foods on an empty stomach. • Plan small and frequent meals so that there is enough space for the food in the stomach. Small meals are also digested easily and quickly. • Do not take water and other drinks with the meals. This causes dilution of the food in stomach resulting in reflux. Also avoid drinking fluids immediately before and after the meals. • Refined food and bakery products, should be cut down. Lifestyle modifications that may help you: • Make sure that there is a gap of 2 hours between dinner and bed time. • Chew your food properly and take enough time to finish the meals. • Avoid wearing tight clothing while and after having food. • Elevate your sleeping bed, instead of using the pillow. Place wooden blocks under the head of your bed. • Weight management is an important requirement in acid reflux. Excessive body fat exerts pressure on the stomach causing heartburn. • Do not do any heavy activity after eating, instead go for a light walk to stimulate better digestion. • Combat stress and start exercising. Ensure that the timings of meal and activity are thoughtfully planned. Some foods that are found to be helpful in management of acid reflux include fiber rich sources like oats and salad. Include apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, ginger, melons, plantain, parsley and Couscous. Light vegetables like carrot, bottle gourd and pumpkin are also helpful, especially when taken in the dinner. how to consume aloe vera and XXXXXXX cidar vinegar?

Brief Answer: take these in their pure form Detailed Answer: Hi, Both the products, Aloe Vera and XXXXXXX cider vinegar, have characteristic health benefits. And to extract the maximum goodness from these, i would advise you to take them in pure form, i.e. with out mixing them with other health foods. After extracting the aloe Vera gel from its leaf, you can mix it well with water and take. However if you do not like its taste at all, then the gel may also be blended with a citrus fruit juice, try and avoid adding other ingredients. XXXXXXX cider vinegar may also be taken after diluting with plain water. take it as the first drink of the day. It may also be used for marinating, preparing batter and as the salad dressings. Hi Thanks for your reply' So if i alternatively take wheat grass powder in XXXXXXX wram water one day and dilluted XXXXXXX cidar vinegar the next day in empty stomach regularly . is that okay.

Brief Answer: check with your doctor before taking Detailed Answer: Hi, It's perfectly fine if u take wheat grass juice on empty stomach. However, I would advise that you consult your doctor before starting to take ACV as first drink of the day. As mentioned earlier the maximum benefit of ACV is when you take it early morning on an empty stomach. but since you have Lax GI., taking any acidic food without your doctor's consent is not advisable. You may however try other drinks like, zeera water and barley water, in place of XXXXXXX cider vinegar. Meenalshi

Brief Answer: yes.. lukewarm water can be used Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX Its ok to take wheat grass juice with XXXXXXX warm water. However, make sure that it's not left standing in warm water for more than a couple of minutes as this might destroy it's heat sensitive components. Also, i would suggest that you grow the wheat grass at home ( refer to link in first reply), for best quality of the grass. Also, it's perfectly fine to take bottle gourd juice in morning. You may also consider to juice beetroot, carrot and other gourd and pumpkin. Do not take the gourd juice, if it tastes bitter. Hi doc I didnt get your statement" Do not take the gourd juice, if it tastes bitter". I was actually asking you about Lauki (bottle gourd juice) . can i consume it early morning empty stomach?

Lauki, (bottle Gourd), is one of the many varieties of the gourd group. Others are snake gourd, round gourd, ribbed gourd etc. you may take the juice of these as well. But sometimes it is seen that these vegetables tastes bitter, mostly in monsoon, therefore before juicing the vegetable you should check that the vegetable should be of normal taste and not bitter. As the bitterness in gourds is an indication of it being toxic. Meenakshi
