Is Walking Possible Post Partial Removal Of Meniscus From Knee?

Question: Thank you for your reply.

If we remove the torn part of the meniscus, does the remaining part will maintain
the job to resist all the body weight and absorb the shocks so that I'll be able to
walk again properly without a cane and pain?

Another thing, a friend gave me the address of an interesting site concerning knee
repairing without surgery. I need your professional comment just for my general knowledge.

Yes even when partial meniscus is removed your knee will be able to function normally. As torn part is not doing any work.
There are various sites which sugggest non operative methods. They do not have scintific back up. You can try them but more often then not their treatment does not help. thanks

Will taking Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM tablets help healing the meniscus
after removing the torn part? Doctors always advise us to take these drug to help
maintaining the cartllage.
Is there any side effect for the knee after the arthroscopic surgery in the future?

Hello,
you can take glucosamine and MSM. They are good for knee cartilage but their is no effect on meniscus. As I already told you that removing part of torn meniscus is not harmful as it is not doing any work at present.
