Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Prior to the thyroid scan, you are asked to stop various types of medicines, supplements, cough syrups etc.
Reason behind this is to stop you from consuming anything which contains iodine so that it doesn't interfere with the thyroid scan because scan uses radioactive iodine.
Since calcium and VIT D 3 doesn't have any iodine, you may continue using it but you must still consult your treating doctor regarding this.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Hello,
Thyroglobulin levels tend to keep on decreasing fro many months and even years after the treatment. In your case they would have definitely decreased but not necessary to be normal or undetectable.
Thanks
