Is Thick Sticky White Discharge Indicative Of Vaginitis?
Question: I have really thick sticky white discharge all the time I go to dr. And they give me medicine for bacterial vaginitis and yeast. When I take it it goes away when I'm on the medicine but, when I stop it comes right back. I can't enjoy sex and my boyfriend says it is very tart and sour. He also, says it feels mushy like walking on the bottom of the ocean, it's not wet, hot, silky like it should be. We haven't had sex in over two months because of it. This has been going on for three years. It sucks and I don't know what to do about it.,

i have gone through your query. whenever one partner gets treated for genital infection then other partner is also prescribed treatment. in most cases if only one partner is treated then after recovery, reinfection may occur because of active disease from partner. so i would suggest you to get him tested as well and if he is also affected then he also needs treatment along with you. once you both recover then hopefully it will not reoccur.

He has been treated before and even with him getting treated... Shortly after I get it again I have change everything I do I don't take baths, I use hypoallergenic soap and laundry detergent. I don't douch.

Yes males can also suffer from bacterial or fungal/yeast infection. As your problem is recurrent so culture of organism would help you. There is a possibility that organism causing infection is resistent to normal antibiotics/antifungals, as a result infection is not completely cured. Visit a "consultant Gynecologist" and discuss about culture & sensitivity.
