Brief Answer: Hi.Thyrox 25 has a few side effects. Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing on XXXXXXX Throx 25 (levothyroxine) is used to treat underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). In my practice thyrox 25 is well tolerated by most of them. Few of them experience increased sweating, sensitivity to heat, mood changes-such as nervousness, mood swings; tiredness, diarrhea, shaking (tremor), headache, shortness of breath, pounding heart beat, chest pain etc due to high thyroid levels & must be reported to your doctor as soon as possible so that the dose can be titrated accordingly. Hair loss can occur during the first few months of treatment. Hope this answers your query. Keep us posted for further queries.
