Is There Any Indication That Shingles Shot Could Affect Dental Tissues?
Question: I had my first vaccine 4 weeks ago and yesterday the dentist told me I have trench mouth. He said it definitely wasn't from lack of dental hygiene and asked about new medication. Is there any indication that the Shingles shot could affect dental tissues. I did have quite a severe reaction to the first shot...pretty much everything listed as really bad side effects.

Vaccines against shingles may have many side effects however it has not been found to cause trench mouth so it does not appear to be caused by the vaccine shot.
Yes you are right your dental hygiene may be all right, and may not be the cause but there are a number of other causes of trench mouth besides bad hygiene. These includes poor diet, stress, smoking, poor immunity like diabetes, or HIV or drugs,
some times the causes is even not known. So I understand it does not appear to be secondary to the vaccine.
