    Is thalassemia screening test recommended before marriage?

Question: Hi..
I am a boy with O+ ve blood group and want to marry a girl with B+ ve blood group... It will be good for marriage?Also
Please suggest if Thalassemia test is essential for these two blood groups for marriage?
